TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS - THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD OF HERKIMER, MADISON AND ONEIDA COUNTIES SERVES A BROAD RANGE OF CUSTOMERS AND MEETS A BROAD RANGE OF NEEDS TO ASSIST YOUTH AND ADULTS WITH BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT. THROUGH GRANT-FUNDED PROJECTS THAT ADDRESS NEEDS INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION, SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, JOB SEARCH ASSISTANCE, MENTORING, COUNSELING, TUTORING AND COMMUNITY SERVICE, THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD HELPS YOUTH AND ADULTS OVERCOME THE OBSTACLES THAT HAVE PREVENTED THEM FROM SUCCEEDING IN SCHOOL OR AT WORK AND TAKES A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO HELPING DISCONNECTED AND DISADVANTAGED INDIVIDUALS FIND AND RETAIN EMPLOYMENT.
