THE PURPOSE OF THE UNION SHALL BE TO ORGANIZE ALL OF THE ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES ENGAGED BY THE UNITED ILLUMINATING COMPANY, LNG CONTROLLERS (SOUTHERN CT GAS-MILFORD), THE BRIDGEPORT ENERGY PLANT AND PSEG POWER CONNECTICUT, LLC (PUBLIC SERVICE ENTERPRISE GROUP - AT THE BRIDGEPORT AND NEW HAVEN HARBOR STATIONS), THEIR SUCCESSORS, SUBSIDIARIES OR AS MERGED. TO INCREASE THEIR WAGES, IMPROVE THEIR HOURS, AND GENERALLY, TO BETTER THEIR WORKING CONDITIONS. TO DO WHATEVER IS PROPER AND NECESSARY TO PROTECT THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL WELFARE OF ITS MEMBERS.
