WE PROVIDE A PROFESSIONAL FORUM FOR APRNS IN CONNECTICUT FOR NETWORKING AND PEER SUPPORT. WE INTERPRET THE APRN ROLE TO THE PUBLIC AS WELL AS OTHER PROFESSIONAL, LEGISLATIVE AND CONSUMER GROUPS. WE PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION TO APRNS AND INFORMATION ABOUT THE APRN ROLE TO PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYERS. WE ENCOURAGE RESEARCH THAT ANALYZES QUALITY HEALTH CARE WITH ATTENTION TO THE IMPACT OF NURSING, SPECIFICALLY ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSING, ON THE QUALITY OF HEALTH CARE. WE PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR APRNS TO MEET THEIR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT NEEDS EITHER SEPARATELY OR IN CO-SPONSORSHIP WITH OTHER GROUPS. WE INITIATE AND/OR SUPPORT POLITICAL ACTION AT THE STATE AND NATIONAL LEVELS TO REDUCE BARRIERS TO THE FULL SCOPE OF PRACTICE FOR APRNS.
