INDIAN MEADOW ESTATE, INC. EXISTS SOLELY TO SUPPORT THE WINCHESTER KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS (K OF C) COUNCIL 22. IT OWNS THE BUILDING WHICH THE K OF C MEETS. ALL K OF C MEMBERS ARE INDIAN MEADOW ESTATE MEMBERS. THERE ARE ABOUT 170 MEMBERS.THE K OF C IS A CHARITABLE/RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION. IT PROVIDES MONETARY SUPPORT IN VARYING AMOUNTS TO THE ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH OF WINSTED, CT, AND ALSO VARIOUS NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE LOCAL AREA. THE K OF C ALSO PROVIDES VOLUNTEERS FOR CERTAIN CHURCH FUNDRAISERS.THE FUNDRAISERS OF INDIAN MEADOW ESTATE ARE USED TO SUPPORT THE BUILDING EXPENSES.
