PUBLICATIONS: AAIDD EDUCATES THE PUBLIC ON AREAS OF INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES BOTH THROUGH ITS SCHOLARLY JOURNALS AND ITS BOOK PROGRAM. IN ADDITION, AAIDD OFFERS TOOLS USED BY DISABILITY PROFESSIONALS TO GAUGE THE SUPPORT NEEDED FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO BE ABLE TO LIVE IN COMMUNITY SETTINGS.
EDUCATION & TRAINING: IN ORDER TO FULFILL ITS CONSTITUTIONAL DIRECTIVE OF ENCOURAGING RESEARCH AND DISSEMINATING KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELD OF INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES, AMERICAN ASSOCIATION ON INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES CONDUCTS TRAINING AND SEMINARS.
