THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO HELP SAVE THE LIVES OF COUNTLESS UNWANTED CATS AND DOGS BY SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS THAT OFFER FREE OR LOW-COST SPAY AND NEUTER SERVICES ACROSS THE STATE OF FLORIDA.

Part 3 - Line 4a

FLORIDA ANIMAL FRIEND IS AN ORGANIZATION THAT BEGAN IN AN EFFORT TO HELP END PET OVERPOPULATION. FLORIDA ANIMAL FRIEND PRIMARILY WORKS TOWARD THE GOAL OF ENDING PET OVERPOPULATION THROUGH THE SALE OF THE FLORIDA ANIMAL FRIEND LICENSE PLATES. FUNDS RAISED FROM THE SALE OF THESE LICENSE PLATES ARE USED TO FINANCE SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAMS ACROSS THE STATE OF FLORIDA. THE FUNDS ALLOCATED TO THESE SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAMS GO TOWARDS INCREASING THE NUMBER OF ALTERATION SURGERIES CONDUCTED AT NON-PROFIT AND MUNICIPAL AGENCIES ACROSS FLORIDA. IN 2021, 30 AGENCIES WERE AWARDED GRANTS. AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF THESE SURGERIES GREATLY REDUCES PET OVERPOPULATION AND ULTIMATELY SAVES THE LIVES OF COUNTLESS HOMELESS CATS AND DOGS FROM BEING PUT TO SLEEP EACH YEAR.
