THE RHODE ISLAND DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION APPROVED PAUL CUFFEE SCHOOL'S CHARTER RENEWAL FOR ITS ENTIRE FIVE-YEAR TERM BASED ON THE SCHOOL MEETING TO EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS IN ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE, ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE AND FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILTY. THE SCHOOL HAS MOVED TO A BLENDED LEARNING MODEL IN ITS MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL LEVELS, WHERE STUDENTS LEARN THROUGH A COMBINATION OF FACE-TO-FACE INSTRUCTION AND ONLINE LEARNING MODULES. A GRANT AWARD FROM THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND'S ENGLISH LEARNERS CATEGORICAL FUND IS MAKING IT POSSIBLE FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS AT CUFFEE TO PARTICIPATE IN AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO IMPROVE BILITERACY IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH.
