THE ROSE ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE AND FORT HAMILTON TRUST IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO PRESERVE THE HISTORIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL INTEGRITY OF ROSE ISLAND. IT OPERATES TO MAINTAIN AND PRESERVE THE ROSE ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE AS A HISTORIC MONUMENT, TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND PUBLIC ACCESS FOR ALL PEOPLE, AND TO PRESERVE THE SURROUNDING GROUNDS OF THE ISLAND AS A NATURAL HABITAT.
