THE ORGANIZATIONS ACTIVITIES INCLUDE OPEN SPACE ACQUISITION, RIVER AND FISH PASSAGE RESTORATION ACTIVITIES, AND LAND CONSERVATION,AND IMPROVEMENTS SUCH AS TRAIL SYSTEMS, AND BOATING AND FISHING ACCESSES IN ORDER TO IMPROVE PUBLIC ACCESS TO THE WATERSHED. ONGOING ACTIVITIES INCLUDE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN-UPS IN AND ALONG WATERWAYS AND WETLANDS, REMOVAL OF FLOOD DEBRIS FROM THE RIVER, AND WATER QUALITY MONITORING THROUGHOUT THE WATERSHED. THE ORGANIZATION RELIES HEAVILY ON VOLUNTEERS AND SOME PAID PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO CARRY OUT THESE ACTIVITIES.
