THE ALADD FOUNDATION AND AADC FAMILY NETWORK ARE THE SAME ORGANIZATION, PROVIDING CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL AWARENESS INCLUDING RESEARCH, MEDICAL INTERVENTION, AND SUPPORT TO FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY AADC. WE ALSO ADVOCATE, RAISE AWARENESS, AND HOST EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS.
ADDITIONALLY, WE ENGAGE IN MEDIA APPEARANCES, PODCAST FEATURES, AND SIMILAR OUTREACH ACTIVITIES. THE FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO HELPING FAMILIES IN ALL AREAS RELATED TO AADC, INCLUDING ASSISTANCE WITH THERAPIES, SUCH AS PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL, AND SPEECH THAT ARE NOT AVAILABLE THROUGH INSURANCE. THE PRIMARY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVE FOCUS IS TO ENABLE AADC CHILDREN TO LIVE AT HOME AS WELL AS HAVE ACCESS TO ALL TREATMENTS AVAILABLE FOR THE DISEASE INCLUDING GENE THERAPY.
