MASS NOW IS THE FOUNDING CONVENER OF THE MA MENSTRUAL EQUITY COALITION. IT IS COMPRISEDOF 400+ MENSTRUAL ADVOCATES, AND 100+ ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS COMING TOGETHER TO END PERIOD POVERTY STATEWIDE. MASS NOW CONVENES STAKEHOLDERS FROM ACROSS THE STATE TO SHARE INFORMATION AND DEVELOP BEST PRACTICES FOR IMPLEMENTING PERIOD POLICY. LAST YEAR WE PARTNERED WITH FALL RIVER PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND 17 COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO DISTRIBUTE OVER 30,000 QUALITY MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS. ALL OF OUR PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS REPORTED A DEMAND FOR MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS BY A MENSTRUATOR WHO NEEDED ONE AND RELIED ON DONATIONS DUE TO A LACK OF ACCESS. ADDITIONALLY, WE HELD TWO PERIOD ART POP-UP EVENTS TO SPREAD AWARENESS AROUND MENSTRUAL EQUITY WHERE CREATIVES PARTICIPATED IN ART SHOWS TO CELEBRATE, RECLAIM, EXPLORE, AND QUESTION PERIODS AND MENSTRUATION.
