THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES MEETINGS & SEMINARS SPONSORED BY ITS MEMBERS FOR THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATING ITS MEMBERS & THE PUBLIC AND PROMOTING NETWORKING AMONG ITS MEMBERS: PROVIDES THE OPPORTUNITY FOR COMPANIES WITHIN THE PRODUCE INDUSTRY TO SPONSOR MEETINGS AND EDUCATE THE MEMBERS AS TO THE SPONSOR'S SPECIALTY; ASSIST IN EDUCATING CONSUMERS THROUGH PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS EMPHASIZING THE IMPORTANCE OF HEALTHY EATING. THE ORGANIZATION IS A MEMBER OF THE PRODUCE FOR BETTER HEALTH AND IS ACTIVE IN INDUSTRY PROMOTION.

THE NEPC GOLF TOURNAMENT ANNUAL EVENT HELD JULY 25, 2023, PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE MEMBERSHIP TO COME TOGETHER IN A SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT AND FOSTER BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE INDUSTRY VENDORS AND BUYERS. GOLF TOURNMENT SPONSORS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOWCASE THEIR PRODUCTS AT THE EVENT INCLUDING SAMPLING. IN 2023 WE HAD 165 GOLFERS AND SPONSOR COMPANIES.THE NEPC PRODUCE, FLORAL & FOOD SERVICE EXPO FLAGSHIP EVENT HELD ON AUGUST 21 AND 22, 2023, FOCUSED ON TRANSPORTATION AND SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES. THERE WERE 158 EXHIBITORS THAT ATTENDED THE EXPO EVENT.THE NEPC ANNUAL DINNER DANCE HELD ON MARCH 25, 2023, IS STRICTLY A SOCIAL EVENT AND AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MEMBERS TO BRING THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHER. THERE IS NO FORMAL PRESENTATIONS JUST DINNER AND DANCING.THE PURPOSE OF THE EXHIBITS AND EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS IS TO PROVIDE THE INDUSTRY ATTENDEES WITH NEW MARKETING IDEAS AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES SPECIFICALLY GEARED TO PRODUCE AND FLORAL EXECUTIVES, WHICH WILL ULTIMATELY HELP THE PROMOTION AND HOPEFULLY THE CONSUMPTION OF FRESH FRUITS, VEGETABLES AND SPECIALITY ITEMS.
