OPEN GEOSPATIAL CONSORTIUM INC.'S (OGC) MISSION TO ADVANCE DEVELOPMENT AND USE OF INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS AND SUPPORTING SERVICES THAT PROMOTE GEOSPATIAL INTEROPERABILITY. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION, OGC SERVES AS THE GLOBAL FORUM FOR THE COLLABORATION OF GEOSPATIAL DATA/SOLUTION PROVIDERS AND USERS.

OPEN GEOSPATIAL CONSORTIUM, INC. IS ENGAGED IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF ADVANCED OPEN SYSTEMS GEOPROCESSING STANDARDS TO SUPPORT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF NATIONAL AND GLOBAL INFORMATION INFRASTRUCTURES. MORE THAN 500 MEMBERS BENEFITED FROM THE PROGRAMS. THE OGC HAS 4 CORE PROGRAMS THAT ENABLE US TO INNOVATE AND DELIVER HIGH QUALITY STANDARDS FOR THE GEOSPATIAL COMMUNITY. THESE PROGRAMS ARE AS FOLLOWS: STANDARDS PROGRAM: IN THE OGC STANDARDS PROGRAM THE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE AND PLANNING COMMITTEE WORK IN A FORMAL CONSENSUS PROCESS TO ARRIVE AT APPROVED (OR "ADOPTED") OGC STANDARDS. LEARN ABOUT THE STANDARDS THAT HAVE BEEN APPROVED SO FAR, AND SEE THE LISTS OF PRODUCTS THAT IMPLEMENT THESE STANDARDS.
