THE LEAGUE IS ORGANIZED TO PROVIDE AN OUTLET FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUTH SOCCER PLAYERS IN THE SOUTH SHORE REGION OF MASSACHUSETTS. IT PROVIDES A COMPETITIVE LEAGUE FOR BOYS AND GIRLS AGES 10-19 EACH SPRING AND FALL AND A LESS COMPETITIVE LEAGUE FOR AGES 8 & 9. THERE IS A LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT FOR THE COMPETITIVE LEVELS AND A FRIENDSHIP "FUN" TOURNAMENT FOR THE YOUNGER CHILDREN, BOTH HELD IN JUNE OF EACH YEAR. ALL TEAMS FROM THE LEAGUE'S MEMBER TOWNS AND CITIES ARE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN THE LEAGUE AND OVER 7,000 CHILDREN PARTICIPATE EACH YEAR.

THE LEAGUE HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN ORGANIZING COMPETITIVE YOUTH SOCCER COMPETITION FOR OVER 7000 OLDER CHILDREN IN THE SOUTH SHORE AREA OF MASSACHUSETTS EACH SPRING. IT HAS HELD A CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT EACH SPRING AND THE WINNERS HAVE MOVED ON TO THE MASS YOUTH SOCCER ASSN TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS WHERE MANY TEAMS HAVE ACHIEVED SUCCESS. IT HAS ALSO ORGANIZED AND SUCCESSFULLY RUN A LESS COMPETITIVE LEAGUE FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN. FOR THOSE YOUNGER CHILDREN IT HAS HELD A FRIENDSHIP TOURNAMENT EACH SPRING WHERE ALL OF THE CHILDREN ARE ABLE TO MEET ONE ANOTHER ON ONE SET OF FIELDS AND COMPETE IN FRIENDLY COMPETITIONS WITH EACH OTHER AND PARTICIPATE IN OTHER FUN ACTIVITIES.
