PROFESSIONAL THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS IN RESIDENCE INCLUDING 115 PERFORMANCES OF 15 PRODUCTIONS TO A TOTAL AUDIENCE OF 13,003 ACROSS TWO LOCAL VENUES: THE LOEB DRAMA CENTER AND OBERON IN CAMBRIDGE, MA. THE SEASON WAS COMPRISED OF WORKS OF LITERARY, EXPERIMENTAL OR OTHERWISE EDUCATIONAL VALUE, WHICH ARE SELECTED FOR THEIR PERCEIVED CAPACITY TO FURTHER THE A.R.T.'S MISSION TO EXPAND THE BOUNDARIES OF THEATRE BY EXPLORING THE BEST PLAYS FROM ACROSS CULTURES AND AGES. PLUS MISC. REVENUE & EXPENSES INCLUDING CONCESSIONS, CREDIT CARD FEES, AND ROYALTIES.
BEGINNING FISCAL YEAR 2019, THE INSTITUTE WENT ON HIATUS TO UNDERGO A STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS
EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH INCLUDED 139 CHILDREN ENROLLED IN DIGITAL A.R.T. KIDS COMPANY CLASSES, AND REACHED 6,438 MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY WITH FREE ACCESS TO 54 EVENTS. THE VAST MAJORITY OF PARTICIPATION WAS DIGITAL DUE TO THE ONGOING COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
