HOUSING PROGRAMS: TRANSITION HOUSE PROVIDES AN EMERGENCY SHELTER, WHICH IS A CONGREGATE SHELTER IN A RESIDENTIAL HOME-LIKE SETTING THAT PROVIDES SAFE, EMERGENCY HOUSING AND HIGHLY SKILLED 24/7 TRAUMA SUPPORT FOR SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND THEIR CHILDREN. SUPPORT SERVICES INCLUDE COUNSELING, SAFETY PLANNING, SKILL BUILDING WORKSHOPS, HEALTHCARE ACCESS AND ON-SITE VISITING HEALTH CARE, HOUSING SEARCH, CHILDCARE ADVOCACY AND ON-SITE CHILD CARE EACH EVENING. OUR CONTINUUM OF HOUSING RESOURCES ALSO INCLUDES TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR 9-24 MONTHS IN SCATTERED SITE, COMMUNITY-BASED UNITS SHARED BY SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND THEIR CHILDREN TRANSITIONING FROM EMERGENCY SHELTERS TO SAFE, AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND PERMANENT SUPPORTED HOUSING FOR SURVIVORS WITH DISABILITIES. SUPPORT SERVICES INCLUDE COUNSELING, CASE MANAGEMENT, SKILL BUILDING RESOURCES, HOUSING SEARCH AND ACCESS TO AN ARRAY OF NEARBY COMMUNITY SERVICES. IN FY21, THESE HOUSING PROGRAMS SERVED 84 ADULTS AND CHILDREN, AND FIELDED OVER 1,000 HOTLINE CALLS.
COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES: PATHWAYS TO SAFETY & PATHWAYS TO PERMANENT HOUSING -TRANSITION HOUSE PROVIDES HOLISTIC SUPPORT, COUNSELING SERVICES, AND INTERVENTION RESOURCES FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE THROUGHOUT OUR DIVERSE COMMUNITY, INCLUDING PARTNER ABUSE, DATING VIOLENCE AND FAMILY VIOLENCE. IN COLLABORATION WITH KEY COMMUNITY PARTNERS, WE PROVIDE ADVOCACY AND COUNSELING SUPPORT, SERVING AS AN INTERVENTION AND RESOURCE HUB FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, BACKGROUNDS, AND INCOME LEVELS TO PREVENT HOMELESSNESS. OTHER SERVICES INCLUDE HOUSING ADVOCACY, LEGAL ADVOCACY, COURT ACCOMPANIMENT, SUPPORT GROUPS, PUBLIC BENEFITS ADVOCACY AND REFERRALS TO A WIDE RANGE OF RESOURCES. WE ALSO DELIVER CUSTOM TRAINING ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INTERVENTION AND RESPONSE TO PROFESSIONALS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT, SOCIAL SERVICES, EDUCATION, ELDER SERVICES AND PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. IN FY21, THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED DIRECT SERVICES TO OVER 230 PEOPLE AND PROVIDED TRAINING FOR 277 PEOPLE.
