HOUSING UNITS ARE PROVIDED TO THE COMMUNITY, INCLUDING TO APPLICANTS FROM A LARGE POOL OF SUBSIDIZED TENANTS WHO ARE NOT READILY ACCEPTED AT OTHER QUALITY HOUSING UNITS.
LAND WAS PURCHASED AND IMPROVED (ADJACENT TO A LOW-INCOME ELDERLY HOUSING PROJECT) FOR A PARKING LOT TO MEET THE NEED CAUSED BY A SHORTAGE OF PARKING SPACES AT THE PROJECT. 22 ADDITIONAL SPACES ARE AVAILABLE FOR USE.
WASHING & DRYER VENDING MACHINES ARE MAINTAINED ON SITE FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF OVER 225 LOW-INCOME SENIOR CITIZENS AT RATES LOWER THAN MARKET RATES. PROFITS ARE USED TO SUPPORT SOCIAL PROGRAMS AND A COMPUTER LEARNING CENTER AT HUD REGULATED ELDERLY HOUSING PROJECTS.
SOCIAL DIRECTOR COORDINATES VOLUNTEERS TO SUPPORT LOW-INCOME SENIOR CITIZENS WITH PERIODIC AND ANNUAL ON-SITE SOCIAL EVENTS, VARIOUS TRIPS, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES FOR A FULFILLING AND DIGNIFIED LIFE.
