THE ASSOCIATION SELLS CARES FOR AND MAINTAINS CEMETERY LOTS AND GRAVES AND PROVIDES FOR THE CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE REAL ESTATE ON WHICH THOSE LOTS AND GRAVES ARE LOCATED AT THE PRIDE OF BOSTON CEMETERY IN WOBURN MASSACHUSETTS. THE CEMETERY IS OVER 100 YEARS OLD AND ALMOST COMPLETELY FILLED. THERE WERE NO GRAVE SALES IN 2022 $51 IN SUCH RECEIPTS IN 2021 AND $35 IN GRAVE SALES IN 2020. SUCH SALES HAVE AMOUNTED TO THESE RELATIVELY SMALL AMOUNTS OR NONE IN RECENT YEARS.
A PERMANENTLY RESTRICTED PERPETUAL CARE TRUST FUND IS MAINTAINED BY THE ASSOCIATION. THAT TRUST FUND IS HELD AND MANAGED BY BNY MELLON. 2022 REVENUE DIVIDENDS AND INTEREST EARNED BY THE TRUST FUND WAS $15,677. THE TRUST ALSO BUYS AND SELLS SECURITIES AND OUR ACCOUNT WITH THEM HAD GAINS OF 2,821 WITH THEM LAST YEAR. BECAUSE OF THE DOWNTURN IN THE STOCK MARKET LAST YEAR THERE WERE UNREALIZED LOSSES ON SECURITIES NOT SOLD LAST YEAR.
