THE MISSION OF THE ORLEANS COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY IS TO SHARE OUR UNIQUE HISTORY THROUGH PRESERVATION, EDUCATION, AND INSPIRATION.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE ORGANIZATION PRESERVES AND PROMOTES THE HISTORY OF THE ORLEANS COUNTY AREA OF VERMONT'S NORTHEAST KINGDOM THROUGH EDUCATION PROGRAMS, COLLECTIONS OF ARTIFACTS, EXHIBITS, PUBLIC TOURS OF GROUNDS AND FACILITIES, AND PROVIDES HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS. ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS INCLUDE A HISTORY FAIR FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN, HERITAGE CRAFT WEED FOR ADULTS TO LEARN CRAFTS FROM THE PAST, A TIME TRAVELER'S DAY CAMP FOR CHILDREN TO EXPLORE LOCAL HISTORY, AND PUBLIC TOURS OF THE FACILITIES INCLUDING THE FLAGSHIP OLD STONE HOUSE MUSEUM. THE MUSEUM INCLUDES COLLECTIONS, ARCHIVES, AND CULTURAL ARTIFACTS.
