THE IMAGINISTS PROVIDED ONLINE THEATER RESIDENCIES WITH LOCAL SCHOOLS. WE OFFERED ARTIST RESIDENCIES AT OUR SPACE. WE COLLABORATED WITH LOCAL ARTISTS ACROSS DISCIPLINE TO CREATE A "SEASON" OF UNIQUE AND INNOVATIVE LIVE PERFORMANCE EVENTS CALLED THE IMAGINISTS' COVID/SHELTER-IN-PLACE SERIES. THIS SERIES CONTINUES TO KEEP US CONNECTED WITH OUR COMMUNITY. THE COLLABORATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF SHOT, A NEW WORK THAT WILL BRING AN OUTSIDER'S EYE TO THE ROLE THAT GUNS AND GUN VIOLENCE PLAY IN AMERICAN SOCIETY, WITH ARPAD SCHILLING (HUNGARY) HAS CONTINUED THROUGH VIRTUAL MEETINGS.

SHOT: (WORKING QTLE) EXAMINES THE CENTRAL ROLE OF GUNS AND GUN VIOLENCE IN CONTEMPORARY AMERICAN SOCIETY. THE IMAGINISTS ARE COMMISSIONING ACCLAIMED HUNGARIAN THEATER DIRECTOR ARPAD SCHILLING TO CREATE SHOT, A NEW WORK THAT WILL BRING HIS OUTSIDER'S EYE TO THE ROLE THAT GUNS AND GUN VIOLENCE PLAY IN AMERICAN SOCIETY. BUILDING ON A LONGSTANDING ARTISTIC COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE IMAGINISTS AND SCHILLING, THE NEW WORK WILL HIGHLIGHT A SHARED ARTISTIC SENSIBILITY THAT PRIZES RISK - TAKING, EXPERIMENTAQON, AND THEATER AS INSTIGATION AND PROVOCATION. SHOT, DELAYED DUE TO COVID, HAS CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT THROUGH ONLINE MEETINGS BETWEEN THE IMAGINISTS AND ARPAD SCHILLING. SHOT WILL PREMIERE AT Z SPACE IN SAN FRANCISCO & IN SONOMA COUNTY IN MAY 2022.
GUEST HOUSE: THE IMAGINISTS RESIDENCY LABS RESIDENCIES, PERFORMANCES, WORKSHOPS, AND COLLABORATIONS BY INVITING INTERDISCIPLINARY ARTISTS TO COLLABORATE WITH THE IMAGINISTS AND ONE ANOTHER, WE INTEND TO WORK BEYOND ARTISTIC BOUNDARIES TOGETHER. RACHAEL DICHTER (SF) AND ALLIE HANKINS (PORTLAND) CREATED A NEW DANCE PIECE FOR THE GUESTHOUSE PROGRAM THAT ENDED WITH A WORK IN PROCESS INDOOR/OUTDOOR LIVE PERFORMANCE AND LIVE STREAMING OVER THE IMAGINISTS SOCIAL MEDIA FEED. C.K.ITAMURA, AN INTERDISCIPLINARY ARTIST BASED IN SONOMA COUNTY CREATED A COLLABORATIVE CONCEPTUAL, VISUAL, PERFORMANCE PROCESS AND PIECE TITLED "SYZYGY".1 PERFORMANCEAUDIENCE: 50PARTICIPANTS: 10
EDUCATION PROGRAMMING : ON-LINE WRITING/DEVISING WORKSHOP FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. IN A COLLABORATIVE WORKSHOP SETTING CONDUCTED BY THE IMAGINISTS' TEACHING ARTISTS, STUDENTS ARE SUPPORTED IN FINDING THEIR OWN VOICES THROUGH WRITING, DEVISING AND COLLABORATIVE PERFORMANCE PROJECTS. EVERY ASPECT OF THE PROGRAMMING IS DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE CREATIVE FREEDOM, TO ACTIVATE THE INDIVIDUAL VOICE, AND TO DISCOVER THE POWER OF COLLABORATION.
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDING A COVID/SHELTER-IN-PLACE SERIES WHICH CONTINUES TO KEEP US CONNECTED WITH OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH THE CHALLENGES OF COVID AND SHELTER-IN-PLACE. POST THEATER: A MONTHLY SERIES WITH VARIOUS ARTISITS (LITERARY/VISUAL/MULTIDISCIPLINARY/THEATER) COMMISSIONED TO CREATE PERFORMANCES ON POSTCARDS. WORM MOON: OBSERVING ONE YEAR OF A PANDEMIC FROM OUTSIDE AND IN, THE IMAGINISTS PRESENTS A SERIES OF INSTALLATIONS IN EACH OF OUR STOREFRONT WINDOWS. TAKEOUT THEATER: A COLLABORATION BETWEEN AUDIENCE & IMAGINISTS. WE PROVIDE THE INGREDIENTS AND THE AUDIENCE INTERPRETS, FILMS AND SENDS A "PERFORMANCE" BACK. TOGETHER WE MAKE THEATER.
