GIV PROGRAMS INCLUDE: RESIDENTIAL EDUCATIONAL ACCELERATION PROGRAMS, PRIMARILY IN SUMMER, WHERE VERMONT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS RECEIVE INTENSIVE IN-DEPTH STUDY OPPORTUNITIES WITH PROFESSIONAL AND EXPERT MENTORS. SUMMER INTENSIVES INCLUDE ARTS (VISUAL AND PERFORMING), ASTRONOMY, ENGINEERING, ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE, GLOBAL ISSUES & YOUTH ACTION, HEALTH & MEDICINE, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND TECHNOLOGY & DESIGN. OCCASIONAL WINTER AND FALL INTENSIVES PROVIDE ADDITIONAL TOPICS IN SCIENCE, ARTS, AND LEADERSHIP. GIV AIMS TO ENSURE THAT ALL MOTIVATED VERMONT STUDENTS HAVE EQUITABLE ACCESS TO IN-DEPTH EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES REGARDLESS OF INCOME, GEOGRAPHY, OR DEMOGRAPHIC FACTORS, AND SPECIFICALLY RECRUITS LARGE NUMBERS OF UNDER-REPRESENTED STUDENTS.
