VERMONT INTERFAITH ACTION IS A FAITH-BASED, GRASSROOTS COALITION OF CONGREGATIONS THAT TRANSFORMS ORDINARY PEOPLE INTO EMPOWERED AND ENGAGED CITIZENS. OUR GOAL IS TO CREATE THE HOPE, POWER, KNOWLEDGE, AND POLITICAL WILL NEEDED TO MAKE COMPASSION AND SOCIAL JUSTICE A REALITY FOR ALL VERMONTERS.

OUR THREE LARGEST PROGRAM SERVICES WERE (1) PASSING PROP 2 BALLOT TO AMEND THE STATE CONSTITUTION TO ABOLISH SLAVERY WITHOUT EXCEPTION, (2) DISMANTLING SYSTEMIC RACISM REGARDING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE OF COLOR AND REIMAGINING PUBLIC SAFETY TO MAKE IT MORE EQUITABLE, AND (3) TO PRESS THE VERMONT STATE GOVERNMENT FOR INVESTMENT AND COMPREHENSIVE PLANS IN SHELTERING THE UNHOUSED AND PROVIDING MORE AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN GENERAL.
