THE CLAREMONT SOUP KITCHEN (CSK) IS A TRUSTED RESOURCE WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY, COMMITTED TO PROVIDING ASSISTANCE WITH DIGNITY, RESPECT, AND COMPASSION FOR ALL, BY PROCURING AND DISTRIBUTING FOOD AND ESSENTIALS THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS AND PARTNER AGENCIES. CSK, ESTABLISHED IN 1983, IS A NONPROFIT FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM OPERATING SEVEN DAYS A WEEK IN THE CITY OF CLAREMONT, NH, AND SERVING ALL OF SULLIVAN COUNTY. THERE ARE MULTIPLE PROGRAMS OFFERED AT OUR FACILITY: THE SOUP KITCHEN, THE FOOD PANTRY, MEALS TO-GO, FREE MEDICAL CLINIC, WOMEN'S PRIMARY HEALTH CLINIC, FOOD PANTRIES IN THE SAU 6 SCHOOLS AND THE CHILDREN'S COMMUNITY LUNCH.

SEE SCHEDULE OTHE SOUP KITCHEN PROVIDES A NUTRITIONAL EVENING MEAL TO FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS AND OFFERS A PLACE TO EAT AND SOCIALIZE WITH ALL WELCOME, NO QUESTIONS ASKED SEVEN DAYS A WEEK AS WELL AS BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FIVE DAYS A WEEK. IN ADDITION, INDIVIDUALS ARE ENCOURAGED TO TAKE FRESH FRUIT, VEGETABLES, SANDWICHES AND BREAD PRODUCTS THAT ARE PROVIDED DAILY. WE SERVE EVENING MEALS SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. THE SOUP KITCHEN DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY REGISTRATION OR CHECK-IN. OBSERVATION SHOWS THAT MANY INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES REPEAT, OFTEN FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME.MEALS TO-GO: PROVIDES MEALS TO HOMEBOUND INDIVIDUALS DELIVERED BY VOLUNTEERS OR OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS.CHILDREN'S COMMUNITY LUNCH: PROVIDES A LUNCH TO ANY CHILD IN THE CITY OF CLAREMONT DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED 12,306 MEALS IN 2023. ONCE AGAIN, WITH THE SUPPORT OF OUR COMMUNITY AND GENEROUS DONORS, THE CLAREMONT SOUP KITCHEN PROVIDED 2,494 MEALS TO ADULTS ACCOMPANYING CHILDREN AND AT EACH LOCATION.THE FOOD PANTRY PROVIDES FOOD BOXES WITH NONPERISHABLE ITEMS, FROZEN MEAT, BREAD, AND FRESH VEGETABLES TO INCOME-QUALIFYING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES THAT HAVE COMPLETED OUR APPLICATION PROCESS. HYGIENE ITEMS, BABY FOOD AND FORMULA, DIAPERS, AND LAUNDRY DETERGENT ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. THE FOOD PANTRY ASSISTS OVER 750 CLIENTS A MONTH, INCLUDING APROXIMATELY 250 CHILDREN. CSK ALSO OFFERS A DELIVERY OPTION TO HOMEBOUND CLIENTS AND CLIENTS WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION; WE CURRENTLY PROVIDE DELIVERY TO APPROXIMATELY 62 RESIDENTS IN SULLIVAN COUNTY. CSK WORKS IN COLLABORATION WITH THE CLAREMONT LEARNING PARTNERSHIP AND SAU 6 PROVIDING FOOD SHELVES FOR CHILDREN FACING FOOD INSECURITY.THIS PAST FISCAL YEAR THE SOUP KITCHEN AND FOOD PANTRY COMBINED SERVED 417,674 MEALS. MEDICAL CLINIC: CSK PROVIDES SPACE FOR THE GOOD NEIGHBORS HEALTH CLINIC AND DARTMOUTH'S GEISEL SCHOOL OF MEDICINE PROVIDES A FREE MEDICAL CLINIC TWICE A MONTH. THE CLINIC PROVIDES BASIC MEDICAL CARE AND REFERRALS.
