HORSE SHOWS: THE ANNUAL PROMOTION, REGULATION, OPERATION & MANAGEMENT OF ARABIAN & HALF-ARABIAN HORSE SHOWS FOR COMPETITION IN VARIOUS CLASSES WHEREIN TROPHIES, AWARDS & PRIZE MONEY CAN BE WON.
MEMBERSHIP: COORDINATION OF THE EFFORTS REGARDING THE ASSOC'S MEMBERSHIP ROSTER. THE MAJORITY OF MEMBERS ARE INDIVIDUALS BELONGING TO LOCAL AND REGIONAL ARABIAN HORSE CLUBS IN THE UNITED STATES, CANADA AND MEXICO. THESE ORGANIZATIONS HAVE AIMS AND PURPOSES SIMILAR TO THOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION; AND, HAVE BEEN DULY ADMITTED TO MEMBERSHIP IN THE ASSOCIATION.
SWEEPSTAKES: A PROGRAM TO PROMOTE THE ARABIANS, HALF - ARABIANS AND ANGLO ARABIANS AND TO BROADEN THE ASSOCIATION'S INCOME BASE. PARTICIPANTS CAN WIN PRIZE MONEY IN NUMEROUS SHOW RING EVENTS AND OTHER EQUINE COMPETITIVE SPORTS. THE ENTRY FEE PRINCIPAL IS USED SOLELY FOR PRIZE MONEY PAYBACKS WITH THE INTEREST EARNED ON SUCH PRINCIPAL USED TO SUPPORT ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION.
AWARDS & SHOWS: THE ADMINISTRATION AND ISSUANCE OF ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS FOR ALL PUREBRED, HALF-ARABIAN AND ANGLO ARABIANS DULY ENROLLED, AND THE APPROVAL OF PARTICULAR HORSE SHOWS. CONVENTION: THE ANNUAL MEETING WHERE DELEGATES FROM MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS GATHER TO CARRY ON THE BUSINESS OF THE ASSN.,INCLUDING THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS, THE APPROVAL OF RESOLUTIONS, AND HORSE SHOW RULE CHANGES. RACING: THE COORDINATION AND PROMOTION OF ARABIAN RACING ON A NATIONAL LEVEL, RELATED TO THE ACTIVITIES OF THE ARAB. JOCKEY CLUB, ON WHOSE BOARD OF TRUSTEES THE ASSOCIATION HAS FIVE SEATS. FUTURITIES: ADDITIONAL PRIZE MONEY PROGRAMS FOR ARABIANS AND HALF-ARABIANS OWNED BY ASSOCIATION MEMBERS AND REGISTERED WITH THE ASSOCIATION, THE ARABIAN HORSE REGISTRY OF AMERICA, OR THE CANADIAN ARABIAN HORSE REGISTRY. YOUTH ACTIVITIES: VARIOUS ACTIVITIES SUCH AS ESSAY CONTESTS REGIONAL YOUTH TEAM TOURNAMENTS, YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS AND TEAM HORSE JUDGING CONTESTS ARE HELD FOR YOUTHS UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN. COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS: ACTIVITIES INCLUDE THE DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF ALL ASSOCIATION PRINTED MATERIAL SUCH AS PAMPHLETS, BROCHURES, PRIZE LISTS, FLYERS, FORMS, SHOW PROGRAMS, AND THE ANNUAL HANDBOOK. IN ADDITION, THIS PROGRAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PUBLIC RELATIONS AND PROMOTIONALACTIVITIES.
