THE SOCIETY IS ALSO CONCERNED WITH RADIATION PROTECTION OF PATIENTS AND WORKERS AND WITH CONDITIONS FOR THE PRACTICE OF DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGY IN VARIOUS COUNTRIES AND PRACTICE SETTINGS.

IUGS AIMS TO PROMOTE DEVELOPMENT OF THE EARTH SCIENCES THROUGH THE SUPPORT OF BROAD-BASED SCIENTIFIC STUDIES, TO APPLY THE RESULTS OF THESE AND OTHER STUDIES TO PRESERVE NATURAL ENVIRONMENTS OF EARTH, TO STRENGTHEN PUBLIC AWARENESS OF GEOLOGY AND ADVANCE GEOLOGICAL EDUCATION IN THE WIDE SENSE.

SUDC IS THE FIFTH LEADING CATEGORY OF DEATH IN CHILDREN AGES ONE TO FOUR, YET SUDC RECEIVES NO PUBLIC FUNDING. THE SUDC FOUNDATION PROVIDES ALL SERVICES AT NO COST TO THE FAMILIES IT SERVES.
