Included is information about the basic food groups, vitamin and mineral requirements, and the relationship of nutrition to the preservation of good health and the prevention of illness.

These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

THE REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT CENTER AT THE ASIAN ASSOCIATION OF UTAH (RIC-AAU) WAS FOUNDED IN 1977 AND IS A PRIVATE, NON-PROFIT, COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION LOCATED IN SALT LAKE CITY. ORIGINALLY ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT ASIAN IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES IN THEIR TRANSITION TO LIFE IN THE UNITED STATES, THE ORGANIZATION HAS EXPANDED ITS RESOURCES AND SERVICES OVER THE PAST 37 YEARS TO ASSIST REFUGEES AND IMMIGRANTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD. TODAY, WE SERVE OVER 2,000 REFUGEES, IMMIGRANTS, AND OTHER COMMUNITY MEMBERS EACH YEAR. WITH OVER 60 STAFF MEMBERS, OUR BACKGROUNDS COVER 17 COUNTRIES AND OVER 30 LANGUAGES. WE ARE DEVOTED TO HELPING CLIENTS BECOME MORE SELF-SUFFICIENT IN THEIR DAILY LIVES, AND AIM TO REDUCE THE BARRIERS THAT REFUGEES AND IMMIGRANTS FACE WHEN ADAPTING TO LIFE IN THE U.S. WITH THE HELP OF STAFF, VOLUNTEERS, AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, WE ARE CONTINUALLY DEVELOPING AND EXPANDING OUR SERVICES TO MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR CLIENTS. THE MISSION OF CENTERPOINT LEGACY THEATRE IS TO PROVIDE THEATRICAL EXPERIENCES THAT ENGAGE, ENTERTAIN, AND ENRICH THE LIVES OF PATRONS AND PERFORMERS.

MISSION:

DAVIS CITIZENS COALITION AGAINST VIOLENCE (DBA SAFE HARBOR CRISIS CENTER) WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1994 AS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION. BEGUN BY CONCERNED CITIZENS WHO WANTED TO ADDRESS THE VIOLENCE THEY SAW IN THEIR COMMUNITY, THEY ESTABLISHED THE FIRST, AND STILL THE ONLY, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER AND SERVICE PROVIDER IN DAVIS COUNTY. SINCE OPENING DOORS TO THE SHELTER IN 1997, SERVICES HAVE CONTINUED TO GROW AND EXPAND TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THOSE IMPACTED BY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT, DATING VIOLENCE, AND STALKING, AS WELL AS OUR COMMUNITY. OUR FREE, TRAUMA-INFORMED SERVICES NOW INCLUDE: 24/7 EMERGENCY PROTECTIVE SHELTER, HOPE HOUSING, OUTREACH SERVICES, CHILDRENS SERVICES, SEXUAL ASSAULT SERVICES, PROTECTIVE ORDER SERVICES, THERAPY, LETHALITY ASSESSMENT LAW ENFORCEMENT PARTNERSHIPS, 24/7 CRISIS RESPONSE, SUPPORT AND PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL GROUPS, AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT. ALL SERVICES ARE INCLUSIVE AND AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH. RECENTLY, WE DOUBLED THE CAPACITY
