THE ASSOCIATION WAS FORMED TO REPRESENT PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL PLAYERS IN THEIR DEALINGS WITH THE MANAGEMENT OF THE NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION AND ITS VARIOUS TEAMS AND TO IMPROVE THEIR WORKING CONDITIONS.
