UHS HOSPITALS FULFILLS ITS MISSION BY WORKING TOGETHER WITH THE COMMUNITY, PHYSICIANS, AND OTHER HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS TO CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE THE AVAILABILITY AND QUALITY OF SERVICES.

WE SHALL RAISE AND ADMINISTER FUNDS AND BUILD AND MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS THAT (1) ASSIST NEEDY STUDENTS, (2) RECOGNIZE AND HONOR HIGH-ACHIEVING STUDENTS, (3) HELP FACULTY AND STAFF PROVIDE THE BEST INSTRUCTIONAL ENVIRONMENT POSSIBLE, AND (4) ENCOURAGE INNOVATION AND ACHIEVEMENT ON CAMPUS, ESPECIALLY WHERE GOVERNMENT FUNDS ARE EITHER UNAVAILABLE OR INSUFFICIENT.

THE FOUNDATION OPERATES EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC PURPOSE, AND IS PRIMARILY SUPPORTED BY CONTRIBUTIONS. THE CONTRIBUTIONS ARE USED TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT, EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND TO FUND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, AS WELL AS, SUPPORT THE HOSPITAL RELATIONS WITH THE COMMUNITY. THE PRIMARY BENEFICIARIES OF SUCH GRANTS ARE UNITED HEALTH SERVICES, INC., IDEAL SENIOR LIVING CENTER, INC. AND TWIN TIER HOME HEALTH, INC. THESE ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDE A BROAD RANGE OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES IN THE GREATER BINGHAMTON AREA.
