THE PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO DELIVER TWO TYPES OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN THE BUFFALO/NIAGARA REGION TO YOUTH AND ADULTS IMPACTED BY GENERATIONAL POVERTY: 1.) WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING CLASSES IN MARKET DEMAND MID-SKILL CAREERS IN ALLIED HEALTH, TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, AND LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE WITH THE GOAL OF HELPING UN/UNDEREMPLOYED ADULTS ATTAIN CAREERS WITH SELF/FAMILY SUSTAINING WAGES2.) AFTERSCHOOL ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH ATTENDING BUFFALO PUBLIC AND CHARTER SCHOOLS TO SUPPORT THEIR GRADUATION FROM HIGH SCHOOL WITH A TRANSITION PLAN INTO COLLEGE AND/OR CAREERS

MISSION:

BUFFALO & ERIE COUNTY WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT CONSORTIUM, INC. (WDC) IS ORGANIZED TO PROMOTE TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT ACTIVITIES THROUGH VARIOUS FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL GRANTS.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in tennis, badminton, racquet ball, squash, table tennis and other racquet sports. Coaching, access to courts, equipment and officials for competitions are generally included.
