KRFC 88.9 FM RADIO FORT COLLINS MAKES GREAT RADIO THAT IS LOCAL, NONCOMMERCIAL, AND VOLUNTEER POWERED. THEIR BROADCAST REACHES FORT COLLINS, LOVELAND, GREELEY, PARTS OF DENVER, BOULDER AND SOME OF THE MOUNTAIN COMMUNITIES.

TO IMPROVE AND MAINTAIN THE ECOLOGICAL HEALTH OF THE POUDRE RIVER WATERSHED THROUGH COMMUNITY COLLABORATION.

THE MOUNTAINS AND PLAINS INSTITUTE FOR LIFELONG LEARNING AND SERVICE IS A 501C3 NON-PROFIT CORPORATION COMMITTED TO PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY AND AFFORDABLE EDUCATIONAL COURSES, TRAVEL, AND SERVICE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADULTS. THE INSTITUTE ALSO SUPPORTS SERVICE PROJECTS WITH FOCUS ON HEALTH AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION ACTIVITIES. IN 2022, 25 EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS WERE PROVIDED SERVING 473 INDIVIDUALS, LED BY AN ADDITIONAL 12 INDIVIDUALS. ALSO, 2 SERVICE PROJECTS PROVIDED NEARLY 7,500 INDIVIDUALS WITH SERVICES.

TO PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION SEMINARS TO APPROXIMATELY 1,000 MEMBERS.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES TRAINING TO ADULTS AND CHILDREN TO HELP REDUCE CASSES OF PHYSICAL AND SEXUAL ABUSE. FOR CASES REPORTED TO LAW ENFORCEMENT OR THE DEPT. OF HUMAN SERVICES, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES NEUTRAL, FORENSICALLY SOUND INTERVIEWS OF THE VICTIM TO ASSIST WITH THE INVESTIGATION, HELP STOP PERPETRATORS, AND HELP SUPPORT THE VICTIMS AND THEIR NONOFFENDING CAREGIVERS.

BUILDING COMMUNITY THROUGH BICYCLING 1. TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY RIDING, INCLUDING THOSE WHO CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY A BIKE. 2. TO EDUCATE OUR NEIGHBORS IN ALL THINGS BIKE-RELATED INCLUDING BIKE MAINTENANCE, BICYCLE EDUCATION AND SAFETY. 3. TO KEEP GOOD BIKES OUT OF THE LANDFILL AND TO RECYCLE POORLY BUILT OR UNSAFE BIKES. 4. TO REFURBISH AND DONATE BICYCLES FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF CHARITY EVENTS AND PROGRAMS FOR THOSE IN NEED. WE SERVE OVER 1000 CLIENTS ANNUALLY PROVIDING THEM LOW COST MEANS TO REPAIR THEIR BICYCLES.
