JUNIPER SCHOOL IS COMMITTED TO BUILDING AN AUTHENTIC, DIVERSE AND ACTIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR THE CHILDREN OF OUR COMMUNITY, THROUGH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FREE, PUBLIC, CHARTER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

MISSION:

THE MISSION OF ALTERNATIVE HORIZONS IS TO PROVIDE ADVOCACY AND RESOURCES TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVORS AND THEIR CHILDREN, WHILE STRIVING TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY AWARENESS THROUGH EDUCATION AND PREVENTION EFFORTS.

MISSION:

THE ORGANIZATION IS DEDICATED TO SERVING ELDERLY RESIDENTS (OVER 60) THROUGHOUT SOUTHWEST COLORADO IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ADMINISTRATION ON AGING, PROVIDE ADVOCACY, PLANNING AND DELIVERY OF ESSENTIAL SERVICES, NUTRITION, TRANSPORTATION, HOME CHORES, HEALTH & PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANCE

MISSION:

THE SAN JUAN CITIZENS ALLIANCE ADVOCATES FOR CLEAN AIR, PURE WATER, AND HEALTHY LANDS - THE FOUNDATIONS OF RESILIENT COMMUNITIES, ECOSYSTEMS AND ECONOMIES IN THE SAN JUAN BASIN.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

MISSION:

THE VFW IS A NONPROFIT VETERAN SERVICE ORGANIZATION COMPRISED OF ELIGIBLE VETERANS AND MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS FROM THE ACTIVE, GUARD AND RESERVE FORCES. THE MISSION OF THE VFW IS TO FOSTER CAMARADERIE AMOUNG UNITED STATES VETERANS OF OVERSEAS CONFLICTS; TO SERVE OUR VETERANS, THE MILITARY AND OUR COMMUNITY; AND TO ADVOCATE ON BEHALF OF ALL VETERANS.

MISSION:

THE SERVE YOUTH IN OUR COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING PLAY TIME, UNIFORMS, AND TOURNAMENTS FOR APPROXIMATELY 400 YOUTH PARTICIPANTS. TO ALSO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS TO CERTAIN PARTICIPANTS

The goal of this organization is to represent physicians who have advanced training in the medical specialty which diagnoses conditions which require surgical intervention and provide preoperative, operative and postoperative care for surgical patients.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in ice hockey, ice skating, alpine and cross-country skiing, sledding/tobogganing and other winter sports. Coaching; access to skating rinks, ski slopes or other facilities; sports equipment; and officials for competitions are generally included.

TRAILS 2000 PLANS, BUILDS AND MAINTAINS TRAILS; EDUCATES TRAIL USERS AND ENCOURAGES CONNECTIVITY ON ROAD, PATH AND TRAIL. BY PARTNERING WITH LAND AGENCIES, TRAILS 2000 HIRES SEASONAL CREW LEADERS TO LEAD VOLUNTEER GROUPS ON TRAILWORK, STEWARDSHIP AND EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS. THE WORK ENCOURAGES THE COMMUNITY TO CONNECT WITH THE OUTDOORS, ENHANCING HEALTH AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT.

THE ARC OF SOUTHWEST COLORADO PRIMARY MISSION IS TO ENSURE THE RIGHTS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND PARTICIPATION OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES IN SOCIETY THROUGH ADVOCACY, EDUCATION AND SOCIAL OPPORTUNITIES.

THE COUNCIL'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT FAMILIES BY INCREASING THE AVAILABILITY,ACCESSIBILITY, AND RELIABILITY OF AFFORDABLE, HIGH QUALITY, COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES FOR ALL YOUNG CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.

The goal of this organization is to provide gas, electricity, water and sanitary services including the hook-up of services and the installation, maintenance and repair of necessary equipment.
