BY PARTNERING WITH LAND AGENCIES, TRAILS 2000 HIRES SEASONAL CREW LEADERS TO LEAD VOLUNTEER GROUPS ON TRAILWORK, STEWARDSHIP AND EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS. THE WORK ENCOURAGES THE COMMUNITY TO CONNECT WITH THE OUTDOORS, ENHANCING HEALTH AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT.

TRAILS 2000 PLANS, BUILDS, AND MAINTAINS AREA TRAILS SYSTEMS; EDUCATES TRAIL USERS AND CONNECTS COMMUNITY. WORKING WITH AREA LAND MANAGERS, THE ORGANIZATION TAKES ON 25-45 VOLUNTEER TRAIL PROJECTS EACH SEASON IN ORDER TO PROVIDE TRAIL ACCESS TO AREA RESIDENTS AND VISITORS. ORGANIZING VOLUNTEER DAYS, EDUCATING TRAIL USERS THROUGH THE WEBSITE, SOCIAL MESSAGING AND COMMUNICATIONS AND ENCOURAGING CONNECTIVITY ENHANCES THE COMMUNITYS TRAIL NETWORK WHICH ELEVATES EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH.APPROXIMATELY 3500 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE ON THE TRAILS, VALUED AT $80,000.
