IS A STUDENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM THAT USES THE INHERENT MOTIVATIONAL POWER OF AVIATION FOR STUDENTS IN 5TH THROUGH 12TH GRADE AS A MEANS FOR THEM TO SET AND ACHIEVE GOALS IN ACADEMIC OR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENTAL AREAS, STRESSING AVIATION, MATH, SCIENCE AND OTHER TECHNICAL FIELDS. THIS PROGRAM ALSO INCLUDES AN ANTI-DRUG/ALCOHOL/SUBSTANCE ABUSE COMPONENT.

THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVES ITS INCOME FROM CONTRACTS FROM THE FEDERAL DEPARTMENTS OF LABOR, HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES AND HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC SECURITY AND PIMA COUNTY. THESE CONTRACTS ARE ADMINISTERED BY THE PIMA COUNTY COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT. THEY ARE EXPRESSLY DESIGNATED TO PROVIDE TRAINING IN LANGUAGE, JOB SKILLS, ON-THE-JOB TRAINING, AND RELATED CONSULTATIONS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THOSE AT LOW-INCOME LEVELS--YOUTH AND ADULT.
