MANAGES AND PRESERVES LAND IN THE NORTHERN SHAWANKGUNKS FOR THE ENJOYMENT AND EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND ADVOCATES ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY IN ITS OWN REGION AND THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.

THE LEGACY'S PURPOSE IS TO ASSIST LANDOWNERS IN THE GUNNISON BASIN TO PRESERVE AGRICULTURAL LAND BY ACTING AS AN ADVOCATE FOR THE LANDOWNERS IN ASSISTING THEM WITH PLACING CONSERVATION EASEMENTS ON THEIR LAND SO IT WILL BE KEPT INTACT AND AVAILABLE FOR AGRICULTURAL USE.
