FROM AUG 2020 TO FEBRUARY 2021, HO'ALA STUDENTS CONTINUED VIRTUAL LEARNING DUE TO CDC AND STATE OF HAWAII MANDATES REGARDING COVID 19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS. STUDENTS WAS NOT ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY COMMUNITY EVENTS AS PLANNED FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR BUT WAS ABLE TO HAVE A FEW VIRTUAL EVENTS SUCH AS A CHRISTMAS ZOOM PARTY WITH THEIR CLASSMATES. STUDENTS WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-2021 BY RETURNING TO CLASSES IN MARCH 2021. SOME FAMILIES CHOSE TO CONTINUE VIRTUAL LEARNING AND THOSE FAMILIES WERE ACCOMMODATED GIVEN COVID 19 MANDATES RELATED TO SCHOOL SETTINGS. DESPITE THE PANDEMIC AND SCHOOL CLOSURES DURING THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR, HO'ALA WAS ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY HOLD CLASSES ONLINE AND IN PERSON.
