THE UNION REPRESENTS FIREFIGHTERS IN NEGOTIATIONS & DEALINGS WITH THE CITY OF LONG BEACH, & PROVIDES BENEFITS TO FIREFIGHTERS SUCH AS INSURANCE COVERAGE & TRAINING PROGRAMS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO REWARDS& RECOGNIZES FIREFIGHTERS FOR YEARS OF SERVICE BY HOLDING AN ANNUAL DINNER IN HONOR OF RETIRING MEMBERS.THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS VARIOUS CHARITIES THROUGHOUT THE LONG BEACH COMMUNITY TO HELP TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY WHILE PROMOTING THE EFFORTS OF LONG BEACH FIREFIGHTERS.
