THE MISSION OF THE LIBRARY GUILD OF RANCHO SANTA FE IS TO RAISE FUNDS AND TO PROVIDE ESSENTIAL SERVICES AND RESOURCES BEYOND THE BUDGET OF THE RANCHO SANTA FE BRANCH, SAN DIEGO COUNTY LIBRARY. THE GUILD STRIVES TO ENHANCE RSF LIBRARY BY OFFERING MATERIALS, STAFF, AND PROGRAMS FOR LIBRARY PATRONS OF ALL AGES. OUR VISION IS TO SUSTAIN THE LIBRARY SO THAT OUR COMMUNITY CONTINUES TO BENEFIT FROM THIS VALUABLE RESOURCE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.

LIBRARY GUILD OF RANCHO SANTA FE PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO RANCHO SANTA FE BRANCH, SAN DIEGO COUNTY LIBRARY. MAJOR COSTS INCLUDE WAGES FOR CHILDREN LIBRARIANS AND EMPLOYER PAYROLL TAXES. SPONSORING LIBRARY PROGRAMS AND CLASSES FOR TEENS AND ADULTS. MATCHING FUNDS FOR BUDGET ALLOCATION OF LIBRARY BOOKS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS.
LIBRARY GUILD OF RANCHO SANTA FE SUPPORTS OPERATION OF CHILDREN'S LIBRARY AND READING PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING R. ROGER ROWE ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL IN RANCHO SANTA FE. IN ADDITION, LIBRARY GUILD PROVIDES SUMMER READING PROGRAMS AS WELL AS ART AND CULTURE CLASSES FOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN.

THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONS ARE RECIPIENTS OF USED BOOKS DONATED BY BOOK CELLAR.- SALVATION ARMY - APPROXIMATELY 50 BOXES OF BOOKS DONATED EACH MONTH.- GOODWILL- APPROXIMATELY 50 BOXES OF BOOKS DONATED EACH MONTH.- FATHER JOE'S VILLAGE - APPROXIMATELY 40-BOXES OF BOOKS DONATED EACH MONTH.- VISTA DETENTION CENTER - POCKET SIZED DICTIONARIES AND NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINES PROVIDED TO INMATES AT THIS FACILITY.
