CENTRAL COUNTY UNITED WAY CONNECTS PEOPLE, RESOURCES AND IDEAS TO CREATE A THRIVING COMMUNITY CHARACTERIZED BY PRODUCTIVE YOUTH PROGRAMS, SENIOR SERVICES, HEALTHY PEOPLE AND THE COMMUNITY IN WHICH WE LIVE.

RETIRED AND SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM PROVIDED VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR SENIORS AGE 55 PLUS. PLACING 700 VOLUNTEERS AT OVER 28 WORK SITES, PROVIDING MORE THAN 70,000 SERVICE HOURS, RECEIVED 350 MEALS, AND DRIVEN 43,000 MILES THIS PAST YEAR.


COORDINATED SENIOR ACTIVITIES PROVIDING STIPENDED VOLUNTEER SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOW INCOME SENIORS AGE 55 PLUS. THE SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM HAS 17 VOLUNTEERS ASSISTING OVER 85 HOMEBOUND SENIORS. THE FOSTER GRANDPARENT PROGRAM HAS 16 VOLUNTEERS ASSISTING OVER 80 STUDENTS IN LOCAL GRADE SCHOOLS.
