THE MISSION OF THE BAKERSFIELD SYMPHONY IS TO UNIFY AND CELEBRATE OUR DIVERSE COMMUNITY THROUGH SHARED MUSICAL EXPERIENCES AND TO PROVIDE STUDENTS ACROSS KERN COUNTY, BUT ESPECIALLY THOSE IN RURAL AND DISADVANTAGED AREAS, EVERY OPPORTUNITY FOR QUALITY MUSICAL, ARTISTIC, AND EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES.

2021 2022 SEASON CONCERTS(THE SEASON WAS MODIFIED AND MOSTLY VIRTUAL DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS. THIS PROGRAMMING WENT OUT TO THE SCHOOLS AS PART OF OUR BSO NEXT PROGRAM) TILERS SERENADE FEATURING TILER PECK MOSTLY MOZART THE FOUR SEASONS OF BUENOS AIRES FEATURING WILLIAM HAGEN PRICE & MOZART2022 YOUNG PEOPLES CONCERT (YPC)(VIRTUAL) THE CONDUCTORS SPELLBOOK2021 BEALE PARK BAND (VIRTUAL) PATRIOTIC CONCERT SERIESSEASON ACCOMPLISHMENTS: ALL OF OUR VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING WAS OFFERED FREE OF CHARGE. OUR VIRTUAL CONCERTS WERE ABLE TO BE VIEWED ON LOCAL ABC-TV AND VARIOUS SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. OUR VIRTUAL YPC CONCERT WAS PRODUCED IN MULTI-LANGUAGE OPTIONS, INCLUDING ASL, AND REACHED OVER 84,000 STUDENTS IN 37 STATES, THE UNITED KINGDOM AND CANADA. OUR BSO NEXT EDUCATION PROGRAMS REACHED OVER 8,800 STUDENTS.
