FIRST 5 - THE FIRST 5 PROGRAM SERVES FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN 0-5 WHO HAVE A PREVIOUS HISTORY WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES. DURING THIS PERIOD THROUGH THIS PROGRAM 111 HOMELESS FAMILIES WITH 234 CHILDREN WERE RAPIDLY RE-HOUSED AND PROVIDED CASE MANAGEMENT IN ADDITION TO SECURITY DEPOSIT, UTILITY AND RENTAL ASSISTANCE, AND FURNITURE. THE ORGANIZATION ENDED OPERATIONS AS BEYOND SHELTER, INC ON APRIL 30, 2016. THE ORGANIZATION'S OPERATIONS AND ASSETS AND LIABILITIES WERE ACQUIRED BY PEOPLE ASSISTING THE HOMELESS ("PATH"), A SEPARATE 501(C)3 ORGANIZATION, ON MAY 1, 2016 AND OPERATED AS AN EXTENSION OF PATH UNDER THE DBA PATH BEYOND SHELTER GOING FORWARD.
