TACSC SUMMER LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE PROGRAM PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR TRAINING 6TH, 7TH AND 8TH GRADE STUDENTS TO LAUNCH THEIR LIFE LEADERSHIP JOURNEY TO DEVELOP A SET OF CRITICAL LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND ABILITIES. STUDENT LEADERS LEARN VALUABLE LIFE LEADERSHIP LESSONS IN BECOMING EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATORS, REAL WORLD STRATEGIC PLANNERS, LIFE-LONG MENTORS AND SERVANT LEADERS THROUGH A SERIES OF IN CLASS LEADERSHIP LEARNING WORKSHOPS. STUDENT LEADERS COMPLETE THE PROGRAM PREPARED TO TAKE CHARGE, INSPIRE OTHERS, AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THEIR SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES. THEY ARE GUIDED THROUGH THEIR 5DAY/4 NIGHT PROGRAM BY OUR WELL TRAINED VOLUNTEER STAFF OF HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE STUDENTS AND ADULT MENTORS, MOST OF WHOM ARE ALUMNI OF TACSC SUMMER CONFERENCES AND PROGRAMS.
TACSC ALSO OFFERS STUDENT LEADERSHIP DAYS (SLD) WHICH IS A ONE DAY VERSION OF THE TACSC SUMMER PROGRAM, TEACHING THESE LIFE LESSONS WITH PEER-TO-PEER WORKSHOPS THAT HAVE A SIMILAR IMPACT AND INSPIRE STUDENTS TO CONTINUE WITH THEIR LEADERSHIP JOURNEY AND OUR SUMMER PROGRAM. THESE SLDS PROVIDE VALUABLE AND IMMEDIATELY APPLICABLE LEADERSHIP LESSONS THROUGH HANDS-ON TRAINING, ACTIVITIES AND EXPERIENCES FOR 5TH, 6TH AND 7TH GRADE STUDENTS. THE CURRICULUM INCLUDES INFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP WORKSHOPS IN COMMUNICATION, PRESENTATION SKILLS, MEETING MANAGEMENT AND GOAL SETTINGS.
