MATER DOLOROSA'S OPERATIONS WERE GREATLY AFFECTED BY THE COVID19 PANDEMIC, WE HOSTED 15 WEEKEND RETREATS, WHICH IS DOWN FROM 43 IN OUR PRE PANDEMIC YEARS, WHICH WERE EITHER PASSIONIST PREACHED OR PASSIONIST SPONSORED. DURING THESE WEEKEND RETREATS APPROXIMATELY 535 RETREATANTS WERE SERVED. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR SPECIAL DAY OF REFLECTION PROGRAMS INCLUDED, LENTEN REFLECTION SERIES, AND WEEKLY SUNDAY EVENING CENTERING PRAYER, SERVED APPROXIMATELY 75 PEOPLE. MATER DOLOROSA EXTENDED MINISTRY OFFERINGS TO YOUNG ADULTS BY OFFERING MEETINGS (35 ATTENDED). MATER DOLOROSA'S HISPANIC MINISTRY PROGRAM WAS PREVENTED FROM HOSTING WEEKEND RETREATS, LAS POSADAS AND SEVERAL EVENINGS OF RECOLLECTION. MATER DOLOROSA PROVIDED HOUSING AND HOSPITALITY FOR 36 HOSTED PROGRAMS DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, COMPARED TO 90 THE PREVIOUS YEAR. THESE SINGLE TO MULTI-DAY PROGRAMS ARE CONDUCTED BY THE GROUP USING THE FACILITY AND ARE AVAILABLE TO OTHER NON-PROFIT ENTITIES SUCH AS CHURCHES AND SCHOOLS. APPROXIMATELY 1,016 INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED DURING THESE HOSTED PROGRAMS COMPARED WITH 3,150 IN THE PREVIOUS YEAR. COVID-19 PREVENTED MATER DOLOROSA FROM OPENING ITS GROUNDS ON GOOD FRIDAY. DURING TIMES WHEN IT ISN'T OCCUPIED WITH RETREAT GROUPS, MATER DOLOROSA IS OPEN TO INDIVIDUALS WHO WISH TO COME TO THE CENTER FOR PERSONAL PRAYER.
