ALLIANCE FRANCAISE DE LOS ANGELES' MISSION IS TO PROMOTE THE FRENCH LANGUAGE AND FRANCOPHONE CULTURES, IN ORDER TO FOSTER POSITIVE RELATIONS BETWEEN FRANCOPHONES AND FRANCOPHILES OF ALL ETHNICITIES AND NATIONALITIES.

LANGUAGE CLASSESTHE ALLIANCE FRANCAISE IS A FRENCH LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES. DAILY, EVENING AND SATURDAY CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE YEAR ROUND. WE TEACH ADULTS AND CHILDREN, IN GROUP AND PRIVATE CLASSES. OUR CURRICULUM HAS BEEN MODELED AFTER THE COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK STANDARDS AND HAS BEEN DEVELOPED AS A PART OF THE AF FRAMES PROJECT (AF FRENCH AMERICAN EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS). WE ARE PART OF AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF ALLIANCE FRANCAISE IN 136 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD. CLASS REGISTRATION IS ONLINE AT WWW.AFDELA.ORG. A FREE PLACEMENT TEST IS AVAILABLE ONLINE FOR ANYONE TO DETERMINE THEIR LEVEL OF FRENCH. DURING 2021, WE SERVED 1,280 ADULT AND 220 KIDS/TEEN STUDENTS.
EXAMINATIONSTHE ALLIANCE FRANAISE OF LOS ANGELES IS A PASSATION CENTER FOR THE DELF CERTIFICATIONS. THE DELF (DIPLME D'ETUDES EN LANGUE FRANAISE) AND THE DALF (DIPLME APPROFONDI EN LANGUE FRANAISE) ARE OFFICIAL DIPLOMAS AWARDED BY THE FRENCH MINISTRY OF EDUCATION TO ASSESS AND TO CERTIFY FOREIGN CANDIDATES' PROFICIENCY IN FRENCH. THESE DIPLOMAS ARE VALID FOR LIFE AND PROVIDE THE CANDIDATE WITH A QUALITY FRENCH-LEVEL CERTIFICATION, USEFUL TO CARRY OUT SPECIFIC PERSONAL, ACADEMIC OR PROFESSIONAL PROJECTS. DELF-DALF TEST IS THE SAME WORLDWIDE. IT IS COMPOSED OF 6 INDEPENDENT DIPLOMAS CORRESPONDING TO THE COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK OF REFERENCE FOR LANGUAGES: DELF A1, DELF A2, DELF B1, DELF B2, DALF C1 ET DALF C2. THE DELF B2 AFFORDS ACCESS TO ALL FRENCH UNIVERSITIES AND TO AN EVER-GROWING NUMBER OF EUROPEAN AND FRANCOPHONE UNIVERSITIES, ELIMINATING THE NEED FOR PRE- ADMISSION FRENCH LANGUAGE TESTS. WE ALSO CONDUCT THE TEST DE CONNAISSANCE DU FRANCAIS (TCF). THE TCF IS THE FRENCH LANGUAGE TEST AWARDED BY THE FRENCH MINISTRY OF EDUCATION.
