WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT.SPONSORED THE ANNUAL WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE WITH 185 IN ATTENDANCE. THE CONFERENCE FOCUSED ON BRINGING BUSINESS AND WORKFORCE EDUCATION LEADERS TOGETHER TO CULTIVATE A WORKFORCE FIT FOR AN INCREASINGLY INTERDEPENDENT AND COMPETITIVE GLOBAL ECONOMY.ALSO SUPPORTED THE WORKFORCE INDICATORS REPORT AND OTHER WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS.
SUPPORTED THE LATINO EDUCATION ATTAINMENT (LEA) PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDES PARENTS THE TOOLS AND RESOURCES NEEDED TO ENSURE STUDENT SUCCESS. LEA TRAINED ABOUT 10,000 PARENTS WHICH INVOLVED 500 TRAINERS, 143 SCHOOLS, 27 COALITION PARTNERS, AND 11 SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN ORANGE COUNTY, ON THE TEN EDUCATIONAL COMMANDMENTS. DISTRIBUTED 31,000 COPIES OF THE "TEN EDUCATIONAL COMMANDMENTS FOR PARENTS" IN FOUR LANGUAGES.
