MEDICAL CARE PROVIDED TO CHILDRENCHLAMG PROVIDES SPECIALTY MEDICAL SERVICES AT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL LOS ANGELES IN THE SUBSPECIALTIES REPRESENTING THE DEPARTMENTS OF PEDIATRICS, SURGERY, ANESTHESIA/CRITICAL CARE MEDICINE, RADIOLOGY, AND PATHOLOGY TO THE UNDERSERVED PEDIATRIC POPULATION OF LOS ANGELES AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY. THE MAJORITY OF PATIENTS SERVED BY CHLAMG ARE BENEFICIARIES OF MEDI-CAL (AND OTHER STATE PROGRAMS FOR THE MEDICALLY INDIGENT) AND MOST PATIENTS AND FAMILIES SERVED LIVE IN AREAS DEMONSTRATED TO BE POOR OR MEDICALLY UNDERSERVED.
