CRISIS SERVICES: PROVIDES CRISIS SERVICES TO VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AND/OR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS. THIS INCLUDES A 24-HOUR CRISIS LINE, ADVOCACY AND ACCOMPANIMENT SERVICES, INFORMATION AND REFERRALS, AND SUPPORT WITH RESTRAINING ORDERS. THIS DEPARTMENT IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR TRAINING AND SUPERVISING THE CRISIS LINE VOLUNTEERS, COORDINATING WITH THE COMMUNITY'S SEXUAL ASSAULT RESPONSE TEAM, AND TRAINING OTHER FIRST RESPONDERS. ADDITIONALLY, ALL STAFF ARE STATE CERTIFIED AS SEXUAL ASSAULT AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CRISIS COUNSELORS, AND PROVIDE ADDITIONAL CRISIS LINE COVERAGE, ACCOMPANIMENTS, AND PEER COUNSELING AS NECESSARY.
PREVENTION EDUCATION: PROVIDES PREVENTION EDUCATION PRESENTATIONS TO STUDENTS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOLS, AND COLLEGES, AS WELL AS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. ALSO PROVIDES GENDER-SPECIFIC GROUPS IN THE SCHOOLS FOCUSED ON VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS. FINALLY, PROVIDES SELF-DEFENSE CLASSES TO SCHOOLS AND THE PUBLIC.
CLINICAL COUNSELING: PROVIDES INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP COUNSELING SERVICES TO SEXUAL ASSAULT AND/OR DOMESTIC SURVIVORS AND THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS.
PROVIDES TWO EMERGENCY SAFE HOUSES FOR WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN WHO ARE VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. THE SAFE HOUSES PROVIDE A SAFE AND SECURE ENVIRONMENT FOR HEALING. FAMILIES IN THE SHELTER ARE ELIGIBLE FOR ALL SERVICES AT NO FEE.
