THE ORGANIZATION ("RTS") STRIVES TO ELIMINATE ALL FORMS OF VIOLENCE, WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON SEXUAL ASSAULT AND ABUSE. INFORMED BY OUR UNDERSTANDING OF TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCES AND CYCLES OF VIOLENCE, WE FACILITATE HEALING AND THE PREVENTION OF VIOLENCE THROUGH THE PROVISION OF COUNSELING, ADVOCACY, AND EDUCATION. WE PROMOTE AND ADOPT POLICIES, PRACTICES, AND SOCIAL VALUES ROOTED IN FAIRNESS, EQUITY, AND INCLUSIVENESS.

PROVIDE 24-HOUR SUPPORT TO SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT/ABUSE, AND OTHER TRAUMA, AND THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS IN SAN MATEO COUNTY THROUGH A CRISIS LINE STAFFED BY CERTIFIED SEXUAL ASSAULT COUNSELORS. OFFER ACCOMPANIMENT, ADVOCACY, INDIVIDUAL, AND GROUP COUNSELING (SHORT AND LONG-TERM) AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION EDUCATION AS WELL AS COMMUNITY OUTREACH, PERFORMED CRISIS INTERVENTIONS, IN-PERSON INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP COUNSELING TO SURVIVORS AND FAMILY MEMBERS. HELD VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH WORKSHOPS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOLS, HIGH SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS.
