THE COMPANION ANIMAL PLACEMENT AND COMMUNITY PET ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDES HOUSING, VETERINARY CARE INCLUDING SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES AND VACCINES, MICRO-CHIPPING, AND PLACEMENT SERVICES FOR HOMELESS DOGS, PUPPIES, CATS AND KITTENS WHILE AWAITING ADOPTION. IN ADDITION, THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES BEHAVIOR CONSULTATION SERVICES TO ADOPTERS AND LOCAL PET OWNERS TO HELP RESOLVE ISSUES THAT MIGHT RESULT IN PETS BEING RELINQUISHED FOR ADOPTION, AS WELL AS COMMUNITY EDUCATION ON HUMANE, COMPASSIONATE AND CONSCIENTIOUS CARE OF COMPANION PETS.
THE COMPANION PET CLINIC PROGRAM PROVIDES LOW-FEE SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES TO PETS OWNED BY THE LOCAL PUBLIC TO HELP PREVENT UNWANTED LITTERS FROM COMPANION DOGS AND CATS, AS WELL AS PROVIDING LOW-FEE VACCINATIONS TO SUPPORT COMPANION PET HEALTH AND PREVENT COMMUNITY SPREAD OF POTENTIALLY COMMUNICABLE COMPANION PET DISEASES. IN ADDITION, THIS PROGRAM SUPPORTS THE WORK OF LOCAL FERAL CAT GROUPS AND PRIVATE ADOPTION, SANCTUARY AND RESCUE GROUPS BY PROVIDING LOW-FEE SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES AND VACCINES FOR THEIR DOGS AND CATS.
