THE ORGANIZATION'S NON-PARTISAN MISSION IS THE DEVELOPMENT OF CIVIC LEADERSHIP THROUGH LOCAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZING WORK IN ORDER TO IMPROVE COMMUNITIES, CREATE POLICY, AND BUILD CONSTITUENCIES OF ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS IN THE PUBLIC BUSINESS OF OUR CITIES, COUNTY, STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENTS. THE ORGANIZATION'S LEADERS LEARN TO BUILD EMPOWERING COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS IN NEIGHBORHOODS AND CITIES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY. THE ORGANIZATION TEACHES AND TRAINS GRASSROOTS LEADERS TO SUCCESSFULLY ADDRESS ISSUES AFFECTING THEIR LIVES BY BUILDING COMMUNITY AND CONGREGATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS AND BY ENGAGING IN PUBLIC LIFE THROUGH ADVOCACY AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. COMMUNITY LEADERS TALK WITH THEIR NEIGHBORS, FRIENDS, AND FELLOW CONGREGATION MEMBERS; THEY ORGANIZE FAMILIES TO ENGAGE WITH ONE ANOTHER ABOUT COMMON PRIORITIES; THEY DEVELOP A SHARED VISION FOR THEIR COMMUNITY.
