THE GOODEN SCHOOL (THE SCHOOL), LOCATED IN SIERRA MADRE, CALIFORNIA, WAS ORGANIZED IN 1975 TO PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE PRIMARY EDUCATION WITH AN EMPHASIS ON INDIVIDUAL STUDENT ATTENTION THROUGH SMALL CLASSES, GOOD PARENT TEACHER COMMUNICATION AND A WARM, SUPPORTIVE ATMOSPHERE. THE SCHOOL ALSO OFFERS EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, SPECIAL EVENTS, FOREIGN LANGUAGES, ART AND MUSIC CLASSES AND AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS TO ITS STUDENTS. THE SCHOOL IS ACCREDITED BY THE CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS AND WESTERN ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES. THE SCHOOL IS ALSO CERTIFIED BY THE COMMISSION ON SCHOOLS. ADDITIONALLY, THE SCHOOL IS A MEMBER OF THE NATIONALASSOCIATION OF EPISCOPAL SCHOOLS AND COMMISSION ON SCHOOLS AND THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS.
